WVOL Goes To Atlanta

West Virginia was recently invited to bring our Mobile Education Unit to the Norfolk Southern Safety Expo at the Georgia International Conference Center in Atlanta. The Expo featured several displays of Norfolk Southern equipment and all of the NS Divisions were present with a display. The unit traveled south to Atlanta on Sunday March 10 and our display was set up the following day. The Mobile Education Unit with the locomotive simulator was on display Tuesday March 12.

According to WVOL State Coordinator, John Perry, "This is a great opportunity to show off our Mobile Education Unit in a large arena and we really appreciate the invitation from the folks at Norfolk Southern."

The Mobile Education Unit is equipped with a locomotive simulator inside along with seating for 14 people and a presentation area. The outside of the unit is especially for outside presentations and is complete with a large screen television.

The NS "Train Your Brain" folks had this tombstone as part of their display. WVOL needs one of these.

The weather was great the entire time except during the trip back. This photo was taken at a gas stop in Ft. Chiswell, VA on the way home.
